Recording 1 Chair Wilcox called the meeting to order at 04:10 PM. S.B. 93 Corrections Amendments(Owens, D.R.) Rep. Owens presented the bill with the assistance of Mike Schoenfeld, Deputy Director, Department of Corrections. Daniel Strong, Director, Sentencing Commission, Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice, spoke in support of the bill. Rep. Hollins moved to pass SB0093 out favorably. Rep. Shepherd moved to approve the minutes for the March 2, 2026 meeting. Rep. Strong assumed the chair. S.B. 142 Private Probation and Court Ordered Services Amendments(Plumb, J.) Sen. Plumb presented the bill. Rep. Hollins moved to pass SB0142 out favorably. 1st Sub. S.B. 305 Hospital Quality Incentive Amendments(Vickers, E.) Sen. Vickers presented the bill with the assistance of Dave Gessel, Executive Director, Utah Hospital Association. Rep. Ballard moved to pass SB0305S01 out favorably. 2nd Sub. S.J.R. 16 Joint Rules Resolution - Legislative Ethics Amendments(Millner, A.) Sen. Millner presented the resolution. Rep. Ballard moved to pass SJR016S02 out favorably. Rep. Ballard expressed appreciation for Sen. Millner's exceptional contribution to the Legislature. Rep. Stoddard thanked Rep. Hollins and Rep. Gwynn for their service to the Legislature. Chair Strong also thanked Rep. Hollins and Rep. Gwynn for their work with the committee and the Legislature. Rep. Hollins moved to adjourn. Chair Strong adjourned the meeting at 4:44 p.m.
