S.B. 31 Office of Professional Licensure Review Amendments(Vickers, E.) S.B. 31 Handout Sen. Evan Vickers presented the bill and answered questions from the committee. Jeff Shumway, Director, Office of Professional Licensure Review, answered questions from the committee. Public comment was heard from: Scott Isaacson, resident; Jonathan Martin, President, Utah Society of Anesthesiology; Margaret Woolley Busse, Executive Director, Department of Commerce; and Sharon Lockhart, acupuncturist, Layton. Rep. Thurston moved to amend 4th Substitute S.B. 31 with Amendment #2. Rep. Thurston moved to amend 4th Substitute S.B. 31 with Amendment #3. Chair Maloy moved to pass 4th Substitute S.B. 31 out favorably. 2nd Sub. S.B. 298 Programmable Money Amendments(Stratton, K.) Sen. Keven Stratton and David Liechty, attorney, Solari Inc., presented the bill and answered questions from the committee. Chair Maloy moved to pass 2nd Substitute S.B. 298 out favorably. S.B. 286 Interior Designer Amendments(Escamilla, L.) Sen. Luz Escamilla and Amy Coombs, lobbyist, Utah Design Consortium, presented the bill and answered questions from the committee. Public comment was heard from Shawn Benjamin, Liaison Director Government Affairs, American Institute of Architects; Don Russell, member, Taylorsville Planning Commission; and Evan Cindrich, principal, EDA Architects. Rep. Ballard moved to pass S.B. 286 out favorably. Rep. Sawyer moved to adjourn. Cochair Kyle adjourned the meeting at 4:00 p.m.
