Clancy moved an item for interim study, that the Health and Human Services Interim Committee study pesticides impact on children's health. 1st Sub. H.J.R. 12 Joint Resolution Encouraging Strong Family Units(Peck, N.) Rep. Nicoleen Peck had a handout distributed and presented the bill. HJR12 1st sub Strong Family Units Phyllis Kimpell, World Wide Organization of Women, spoke in favor of the bill. Rep. Bolinder moved to replace HJR012S01 with HJR012S02. Rep. Bolinder moved to pass HJR012S02 out favorably. H.B. 590 Child Therapy Amendments(Dailey-Provost, J.) Rep. Jennifer-Dailey Provost presented the bill with the assistance of Amy Fehlberg, Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Mariah Hurst, Executive Director, Youth Provider's Association, spoke in favor of the bill. Sarah Stroup, licensed marriage and family therapist, and Legislative Chair, Utah Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, spoke in favor of the bill. Leanne Rupp, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Executive Director, National Association of Social Workers, Utah Chapter, spoke in favor of the bill. Jessica Black, Legislative Chair, Utah Mental Health Counselors Association, spoke in favor of the bill. Rep. Bolinder moved to replace HB0590 with HB0590S01. Rep. Bolinder moved to pass HB0590S01 out favorably. 2nd Sub. S.B. 154 Protection and Advocacy Agency Reporting(Weiler, T.) Rep. Norman Thurston presented the bill. Nate Crippes, Public Affairs Supervising Attorney, Disability Law Center, spoke in favor of the bill. Jacey Skinner, board member, And Justice for All, representing self, spoke in favor of the bill. Chris Wilson presented the bill with the assistance of John Dahlstrom, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Wasatch Group and Jeff Steed, Chief Executive Officer, Steed Group.
