S.B. 234 Rulemaking Amendments(Brammer, B.) Sen. Brady Brammer with assistance from Mark Behrens, Attorney, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, presented the bill. Ellie Brownstein, Vice President, American Academy of Pediatricians Utah Chapter, spoke in opposition to the bill. Katie Gradick, resident, spoke in opposition to the bill. Brian Moench, President, Utah Physicians for Healthy Environment, spoke in opposition to the bill. Abbie Nistler, resident, spoke in opposition to the bill. Carmen Valdez, Senior Policy Associate, Healthy Environment Alliance of Utah (HEAL Utah), spoke in opposition to the bill. Maryann Christensen, Executive Director, Utah Legislative Watch, spoke in favor of the bill. Tim Davis, Executive Director, Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), spoke to the bill. Rep. Watkins moved to pass SB0234S02 out favorably. Rep. Peck moved to adjourn. Chair Jack adjourned the meeting at 9:43 AM.
