Recording 1 Chair McCay called the meeting to order at 9:11 a.m. Committee Business Sen. Wilson moved to approve the minutes of the August 18, 2025, meeting. Review of Gubernatorial Nomination of John Valentine as a Commissioner of the State Tax Commission John Valentine, Commissioner, State Tax Commission, provided a brief summary of his work as a commissioner at the State Tax Commission and what he hopes to achieve in the future. The committee provided comments and asked questions. Commissioner Valentine responded. Chair McCay provided a comment regarding the future challenges the State Tax Commission works on. Commissioner Valentine responded. Commissioner Valentine provided a comment. Rebecca Rockwell, Commissioner, State Tax Commission, expressed support of Commissioner Valentine's reappointment. Sen. Wilson provided a comment on Commissioner Valentine's service to the State Tax Commission. Sen. Wilson moved to favorably recommend to the full Senate the reappointment of Commissioner Valentine to the State Tax Commission. Other Items/Adjourn Sen. Cullimore moved to adjourn. Chair McCay adjourned the meeting at 9:42 a.m.
