Recording 1 Chair Grover called the meeting to order at 11:05 a.m. Committee Business Sen. Stevenson moved to approve the minutes of the January 12, 2026, meeting. Mary Laughlin, Health Data Committee Mary Laughlin, Director of Health Plan Operation, Molina Healthcare, gave an opening statement and answered questions from the committee. Sen. Stevenson moved to favorably recommend to the full Senate, the appointment of Mary Laughlin to the Health Data Committee. Nate Checketts, Office of Inspector General of Medicaid Services Nate Checketts, Deputy Director, Department of Health and Human Services, gave an opening statement and answered questions from the committee. Committee members continued to ask clarifying questions. Sen. Escamilla moved to favorably recommend to the full Senate, the appointment of Nate Checketts as the inspector general of Medicaid services for the Office of the Inspector General of Medicaid Services. Sen. Stevenson spoke in favor of the appointment. Adjourn Sen. Escamilla moved to adjourn. Chair Grover adjourned the meeting at 11:34 a.m.
